B20 help
I built the b20 engine about 4 years ago kept in my garage oiled and turned it over on a regular basis. Finally got something to put it in. my problem is i have low compression across the board 85 82 82 85 the head and block were inspected before installation. its had forged 8.5 84 mm pistons eagle h beam rods skunk2 valves springs retainers BC stage 2 turbo cams and arp head studs. I believe i used the high end torque spec i think it was 80 pounds. i have 2 interesting things 1 i could see the coolant looked funny while it was trying to bleed and after a long enough time you could see oil in it leads me to head gasket. I also poured oil in cylinder 4 and re check compression it went up to 190 telling me bad rings but I can not see myself jacking up all 4 sets of rings maybe 1. so the questions are does the oil compression check fix head gasket leaking to? what torque spec should i be using? and did all 4 ring sets go bad from sitting?
74 views no one has a opinion? Im okay with that I would just like to check a few other things if anyone had a clue before I dumped a new head gasket on it re torqued it. Also last night I did a visual check for warpage with flat steal and a super bright light there was no visable warpage and like I said before it was put together it was inspected by a machine shop. Any opinion would be awesome also apr torque spec or honda I had read it both ways with a b20 engine??
