Of course it's possible... worth it - not to me. If you have to ask how, then I would highly advise just getting your car back to factory and convert as necessary...

more headache than its worth. if you want to use an EG harness in your 88-91 civic/crx be prepared for a ton of work.

1. you will have to have both the corresponding shop manuals for your car and the EG your harness came from.
2. take your current ecu wiring from your car out of the shell
3. gut the loom off the harness
4. decipher what each wire on the shock tower plugs is for
5. re route, extend and shorten the wires as needed
6. decipher the ecu harness plugs from your shell
7. cut and solder on obd1 ecu wiring 1 at a time (or you will mess up and get pissed)
8. after realizing what a headache it is you will come back to this site and post all the problems your having and ask for help fixing it.
9. start searching for an unmolested harness that matches your car
10. finally restore it back to stock form, and learn from your mistakes

i kid you not. if you do not know what your are doing, or are not comfortable with wiring this is what will happen.

I'm just finishing up doing this same thing to my 91 hatch. I'm using 94 integra main cabin harness, motor harness, headlight/ecu/radiator fan wiring, gauge cluster wiring with matching 94 integra gauge cluster.

I'll tell you right now it is a TON of work and it can get very difficult at certain points.
My reasons for doing this were that my harness was severly cut up when I got the car, and it's primarily a drag only car.

I run only the basic needed components on my car.
Headlights, taillights, motor and it's functions, ecu, gauges, fuel pump.
All other functions have been removed from the harness, and it was shortened/rerouted as needed.

You do need several components from the car you are usig as well as all the wiring from the car you are getting the wiring from.

I used the original ef rear section and spliced in the connectors to plug into the main harness.
I used integra ignition switch but used the switch interface from the ef.
I used the plugs from the ef brake switch and clutch switch, just depinned the wires and swapped the connectors.
I do not use any wiring for inside the doors, door switches, e brake switch, rear wipers/defog, no heat, no ac, no power steering, no radio, no srs or abs.

In order to make that happen and actually function and work you are going to need a bit of experience with automotive wiring, and 2 service manuals. 1 for each car.
The biggest thing you could do is label every single plug on both harnesses before you touch anything.

Good luck to you whichever your choice is
