Help Suspension Techniques Rear Sway install
I'm installing an adjustable suspension techniques rear sway bar on my CRX. My question is:
When putting together the adjustable end links, (there's a male half and female half to the end link which makes it's length adjustable), How many turns did you turn the end link pieces together?
I know this is more of a preference question, but I just need an adjustment which will be pretty good for autocross, but still be streetable.

i dont think the length matters. as long as it fits and are equal between the two sides. the length of the eyebolt isnt what makes the sway bar function.
I don't know, I think that the endlink length would definitely matter since it determines how quickly stress is applied to the sway bar.
Hopefully I'll find someone at the track tomorrow who can help me out.

well, let me tell you how a sway bar works. when the car sits or is moving forward on completely level ground, the bar should be at ZERO tension. if the car goes over a speed bump straight on, the bar should STILL be at ZERO tension, assuming both wheels move at the same rate and distance. Then, when in a turn, when one side is loaded, the other side will drop and now the bar will be in tension. OR, when one side goes over a bump, the bar will be in tension.
So, there is nothing to do with length (as long as they are equal) of the endlinks since its only the DIFFERENCE of the location of endlinks of the sway bar that matter, UNLESS the endlinks bind because they are too short or too long and push the end of the sway bar in shear against the pivot bushings, which its not supposed to.
