Hey guys Im new to the forum

Got a question I recently bought a civic ex 1998.

This past saturday we were looking around the ECU and found out my car eventhought its a 1998 it came OBD2B no biggie

So I just ordered a OBD2B to OBDI jumper harness.And I will look for a P28 ECU

Do I need something else besides that to run the ECU or I will be ok with that?

 

Why are you needing to run a P28? What's wrong with the stock ECU?

 

previous owner fried the original ecu and swap to an Auto ECU so the CEL its on because of that(car is 5 speed)

 

I guess I don't understand why the need for a P28. Get an ECU for the engine. That being a P2P. Unless emission/inspections aren't an issue.

But over here its way easier to work witg a OBDI ecu instead of a OBD2B.. plus When I need it I can just only replug the original ECU

 

there's no way it came obd2b from the factory.

 

weird then since it seems so stock but who knows
