Icon6 Replacing '95 Intake Manifold

So, my '95 Civic EX needed a new head gasket as of April. I was staying with my baby daddy at the time and since he works at a shop, figured I'd be able to get her up and running again in no time. Long story short, he'll always be a dead beat and there was a reason I left him.

Anyways, he made it worse and it ended up needing a lot more work done on it. I left and have been 6 hours away, so I haven't been able to work on her. When I finally get him to do the work, somehow in the process of putting everything back together, he f*cks up the intake manifold.

He got his buddy to pull one from the junkyard, but I'm thinking that if I want this done by the weekend so I can get home (I'm supposed to be here for the week while he finishes the work on her), I'm going to have to do this myself. Not a big deal, I've done this before on a '91 CRX, but it's been quite a few years and it's still different I'm sure.

Any advice? Like where I should start and are there any specific tools I should be sure to have on hand? I'll have access to pretty much everything.
Thanks!

Can we get the version without all the BS drama? Bolts, hoses and a gasket. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Thanks, got a manual already, but found one on that site that seems it will be more helpful.

Thought he asked for no BS drama? lolz.

Not too hard, take it off and have a look. only 2 nuts and 2 bolts holding it on. undo the connectors and you can lift it off and have a look at the gasket without remove the hoses.

Thanks, I don't care what the gasket looks like, since I'm replacing the intake manifold, I'm just gonna replace the gasket as well.

You originally needed a head gasket replaced to replacing the intake manifold. What's wrong with the manifold?

Haha...honestly, I don't know how it got effed up. I wasn't doing the work on it. The details I've gotten are fuzzy. Just somewhere along the 'putting everything back' path, he cracked the manifold.

Depends on where the crack is at. You can try and band aid for now using JB Weld.

It's pretty basic, unbolt it, unhook the hoses and wiring harnesses on the sensors and stuff, make sure the surface where it mates to the head is clean and free of the old gasket, replace the gasket and re-hook everything up.
