Alright the car is a 92 civic with an LS/Vtec with a CTR head. The had so many problems and is almost finished except for one thing. I didnt have the tps hooked up for the longest time since i didnt have anyway to set it. Now that i have it all set an hooked up it runs faster and better at WOT. However, if im just driving around in town or on the highway the car feels sugglish, if i give it just a little more gas i get a jolt of power and the car runs like it should. Its done this for about 2 weeks now and for the first time the other day the CEL popped on then off. Now it will come on about 45 seconds of the car running (wich in this time period it seems to run fine) then the CEL pops and and it runs like poo agian. Im getting only a code seven which is TPS. It reads .5 closed and 4.6 at open. This doesnt seem bad so im not sure if its bad or what, any suggestions?

Update: The car does not do this in open loop only in closed, and i replaced and checked the tps sensor and its fine. I have seen this problem in the search but no one has got an answer please help.

Gonna post this for future reference to all the people it may help. Im 99% sure its the o2 sensor. I tested it and it didn't pass so i unhooked it and the car pulls harder then it ever has since ive owned it. So im gonna take a chance and get a new o2 sensor.

 

just out of curiosity, what were your o2 readings?

 

They stayed at .4 to .5 volts even when i created a vaccum leak. It didnt even think about dropping lol.
