hey anyone know what engine is in the civic ex 99 i kno its a B16 but like a c? i dunno wat here are some specs that i found

u sure its D16Y8? its a coupe from what i kno its a B16 something am i wrong?

umm... this is honda-tech. we know our ****.

96-00 Civic EX Coupe/Sedan = d16y8, 1.6L SOHC VTEC, 127hp at the flywheel
99-00 Civic Si Coupe = b16a2, 1.6L DOHC VTEC, 160hp at the flywheel

The only b18's in America came in Integras.

94-01 Integra GS-R Hatchback/Sedan = b18c1, 1.8L DOHC VTEC, 170hp at the flywheel
97-01 Integra Type R Hatchback = b18c5, 1.8L DOHC VTEC, 195hp at the flywheel
94-01 Integra LS Coupe/Sedan = b18b1, 1.8L DOHC non-VTEC, 140hp at the flyhweel

hehe thx is there any link that has all those specs? cuz i was looking for it but couldn't find anything becuase i want to get a ECU chip but its sorted by engine types

well from what ya said i have the D16Y8 engine cuz i have a 99 civic ex coupe, ECU not sure what to get i'm just researching it cuz this is my setup im going to do

DC Sports 4-2-1 One Piece Headers (i can get one-piece right or i have to get two piece)
Greddy Street Performance Exhaust
AEM Cold Air Intake
Rotas SlipStream 16' rims
Skunk2 Vtec Camshafts
and then ECU chip but i dunno which one and thats y i was asking about the engine u have any recomendations?

considering you have a 99 civic, you might get better responses in the EG+/DelSol forum. this forum is for 1991 and below civics.
