Need Help Wiring Blaster Coil to H22
Hey guys, pretty new to honda-tech but I'm in the process of doing an H2B swap into an EK. When I got the motor (H22A) it came with what appears to be a new distributor (judging by how clean it was). I got everything as an abandoned project and so there were alot of things that need attention and this is one of them. The dizzy has an MSD cap installed and came with a new SS coil. The coil has a black and red wire running off of it, and the dizzy is OBD2. Here's where it gets tricky, the whole plugin has been cut off and was then reattached by twisting the wires together. All the wire colors from the plug match up perfectly with the wires from the distributor, except for one darker green wire hanging out of the distributor. There is NO coil in the distributor, but I am confused as to how to wire up the SS coil with this oem distributor. I've found a bit of information and they talk about a black wire and yellow wire and green, but nothing really tells me what I need to know. Also MSDs tech help didn't seem to have a clue and their online diagrams only show how to wire it with an msd ignition box. I NEED HELP!
Thanks in advance for any helpful advice, and if I can figure out how to post pictures I can take some of the wires inside and out of the distributor.

What exactly do you have?
MSD cap and the blaster coil, or do you also have the MSD "control" box...

Which of the above do you have?
Also, what is the MM&Y of the car, unless it is a right hand drive it is not an EK, and what did the H22A engine come out of, [MM&Y] 94

i have the cap and coil, no control box. The car is a 98 civic hatch, ek was just easier to type and i kind of felt it was irrelevant what car. the engine is an H22A but thats all i know, it was with the car when i got it
Start by removing OEM coil from distributor, leave the ICM, remove the pos.(+) coil terminal or cap it off, you will still need power to the ICM.
Extend the lead that runs from the ICM, [primary output control] to the coil long enough to reach from inside the cap to outside the cap to the blaster coil neg.(-), I managed to "snake" along with the stock wires to get it out of the distributor
Connect a line, [parallel] to the 12V+ input to distributor assembly, [should be a black/yellow] run that through an 0.8 ohm ballast resistor, [MSD P/N 8214] to the pos.(+) of the blaster coil, your done.94
PS Feel free to IM me if you have questions

I'm going to take some pictures so maybe you can explain it to me a little better and so you know what I have. You seem to know what you're talking about and I really appreciate your help, this is all still very new to me but I have already learned a ton since the project started. Let me get some pictures and I will either post them on here or try to send them to you in a PM.
Thanks again!
Thanks again!
To post a pic click on the paper clip, [attachments] to the right of the smiley face, a window will pop up, [manage attachments] so you can browse and upload from your pix, once uploaded close window and click on paper clip again, the uploaded file will be there, place cursor at left of window and click on pix file you want to attach...

The red lead is paralled with the stock power lead, [black/yellow] and runs through the resistor to the pos.(+) side of coil, the bacl lead is from the ICU in the distributor and is run and connected to the neg.(-) of the coil. 94

Ok can someone direct me to a good write-up on how to convert your internal coil dizzy to external on an H22? I could probably figure it out from there. I've looked and all i can seem to find is bits and pieces
