That's awesome, only got to see the beginning part before heading to sleep. Glad that finish is up for viewing though.

Just awesome racing action.
I might have to replan a vacation to Austin instead of further south.

Probably the best racing I have seen in a long time. If I could ever become a race car driver it would def have to be this class. Love seeing the Austrailians race.

Wish I could have watched this. Was at Marrs 9 last weekend though. I guess actually racing is better than tv, but damn, live v8 supercars sure is a hell of a thing to miss.

On the up side...Finally made it through a race weekend without breaking something or blowing the motor

I youtubed the qualify laps and then the top ten shoot out. They are excellent videos as well. Few questions if anyone knows.
1. How many drivers do they run with? 2,3...
2. Why is DW over there? I'm not a big Nascar fan but did DW compete in non-oval tracks?

Each car runs two drivers. Don't know who that DW guy is but that video is pretty funny, the video really doesn't capture the elevation change of the track and how steep some sections are though.

DW is a Darrel Waltrip a well know Nascar driver in America. He intro of "boogdie boogdie.." was pretty funny except if cements the redneck name of America and Nascar.

I take it your familiar with the Bathurst. I can't think of a single race that I have watched and enjoyed more. You could see/hear how much they were pushings those cars to the edge. I would love to watch some HD past races.

Waltrip sounded like Ricky Bobby in that car lol.

I watched a lot of the race, its on edge every lap which is pretty insane. The last laps just dont really get any better.

I would think Waltrip was there because of Supercars coming to the US and maybe speed wanted to get some nascar fans interested. The cars would be closer for nascar fans to indentify with compared to F1 etc.

^^^ I can understand that and he can be entertaining. I just was hoping maybe he was experienced in other forms of racing other than Rovals. He looked very uncomfortable in that car going through the turns. haha

Was out at Bathurst for the weekend with a mate. We go every year and every year the top three cars finish closer and closer. Not bad considering 161 laps of hell.

Was so hoping that Craig and Skaife would get up but at least he is the lead championship wise.

Bring on the Sydney 500.

his joy ride was pretty funny, but i found his commentary a bit "silly" at some points. maybe i just didn't see him as a credible commentator for that series. marcos ambrose on the other hand, i would find a joy to listen to, per this series.
