Newb needs help with de-wire tuck
so i decided getting 12 mpg in my lifted jeep wasn't cutting it anymore. picked up a 92 hatch off a friend of a friend of a friend. i knew it had some bad electrical issues when i bought it but didn't realize how bad it was.
the engine bay had been halfway half *** wire tucked by someone who didn't know what they were doing. i'm talking painters tape on connections, wires halfway twisted together barely hanging on, stuff cut and spliced all over for no apparent reason type stuff.
no cluster lights working, no turn signals, no low beams, no tach or speedo with the light switch or wiper switch on, and fuel pump wired to a switch. thats all the problems i can remember off the top of my head and i'm sure i'm forgetting more.
so instead of trying to figure out what the po's po tried to do with this rat nest of a wiring harness i decided it'd be easier to just swap a whole harness in. as far as i know it's a cx hatch with a b18b1 and has a ex dash and cluster (i'm new to hondas so the ex is a guess). ended up at a pull a part and grabbed a main harness out a 94(?) sedan and tried to hook that up. didn't even get a click out of the starter but the main relay was clicking like it was turning on and off, and had to backtrack to the old setup that at least ran.
my question is this, what years/other models should i grab a main harness out of? i'm talking about the one that runs from the ps headlight, e fan, engine harness hookup, underhood fuseblock, underdash fuse block, cluster, steering column controls, etc
any advice, previous experience appreciated

'92 - '95 hatchback harness should work, make sure it's from a 5 speed though. As far as the engine harness you can either use a '92 - '95 civic harness and modify it slightly or use an Integra harness (use whatever year harness corresponds to the engine, both OBD1 and OBD2 Integra engine harnesses will plug into a '92 - '95 Civic harness)

If it's a DX coupe/sedan you're pulling it from, it *may* work. Also forgot to mention '92 - '93 DX/LX harnesses differ from '94 - '95 in that the map sensor connector is part of the underdash harness on '92 - '93 models as opposed to '94 - '95 models where it's part of the engine harness.
