H22a4 head question
I am currently reassembling my fiancees h22a4 which her ex took apart bc the head gasket was "blown". His basis for this was it was leaking oil however everything i can see point toward the valve cover gasket. however while i was inspecting the head before puttin her back together i found a hole in the head bolt hole. 9 of the ten holes are surrounded by a pretty thick outter edge but the front left hole half of it is thick and half is a little more than paper thin. in the thin portion there is a hole approx. 2mm by 4mm. everything else is fine with the head and the gasket was not blown in the least. If anybody has any suggestion they would be appreciated
thanks for the reply. i took it to a machine shop and the guy informed me that it was in fact cast that way. he refered to it as a "poor" casting but assured me it would be fine to reassemble. i will take a pic and post it though for all those who got lost in my terrible description of what it looks like.
