00 integra gsr suspension question
hey everyone i been looking up info. all day on suspension.I'm building a drag slash street car.So far i'm looking at koni/CG, omni, and progress. so ok i know people that like koni/ CG but have not heard of how it performs for a drag car.Omni on the other hand i hear i mainly for drag,Progress i hear good things about them but i would just like to hear more opinions about them? If there is no way i can get both, i'm willing to settle for one or the other. thanks
drag setups generally have stiffer springs in the rear than the front. It's not a must thought as I have a 14k front and 10k rear (circuit Tein RE coilovers) and can cut 1.68 60' foots on a 129mph car.
I don't think you can go wrong with the koni/GC for a budget setup.

thanks lets here some more opinions i just got a job so my budget will be a nicer one but does not mean i want to go spend unneccessary money
All things being equal, there's not going to be much of a performance difference between different sets of quality coilovers. Identify what spring rates/valving you want, then make your brand decision based on the reputation, warantee, and specific features of the setups you're considering. For example, if you want adjustable damping, etc.
^^ that is what i want damping, something i can adjust to ride on the street or strip. i see what spring rates a couple of people are running. I also see people say stiffer in the rear is better, also i hear softer in the back is better. so what spring rate should i be looking at?
There's been some discussion on this in the suspension forum -- nobody there was quite sure why it's important to have the rear stiff for drag racing. My guess is that it speeds up weight transfer, which would increase stability of the front end. Most companies offer OTS drag race spring packages. If you want to do custom rates, ask in the suspension or possibly drag race forum for advice on a good setup for drag racing that is also streetable. Be aware that stiff rear rates degrade ride quality more than equal rates in the front.
