Alternator out after 263,000
Man! This is car week for me. My original alternator is a Denso 12V/80amp, I've seen a few online that say 14.2 amps/90+ volts. Will it hurt my car to put one of those on or should I stay with the original Denso TN101211 type?
Thanks

90 + volts!!!???
If the alternator is a Denso, is your car a 4 cylinder? If so, you may be able to just replace the brush pack and go even longer. The Denso alternators for the 1999 Accord 4 cylinders should use the same brush pack as the 1990-1997 Accord, Honda part number 31105-PR7-A01. Also see this thread:

The attached alternator diagram is the Denso alternator for a 1999 Accord 4 cylinder.
Most V6 came originally with Delphi alternators ( which most where crap).
