Hi I did a swap to 1994 honda vx vtec i went from a d15z1 to a b16a. i swapped out the engine myself (1st time) i changed the ecu to a p28 from a gsr engine obd1 as well as my obd1 jdm b16a. I have ran my car and it seems to run good but my rpms only go to 7000 and the engine kicks down my gear. i have read that these engines are good up to 8200 rpms. my eg was already a vtec wired car so idk if some other type of wiring had to be done or not? im not sure why it wont run to its full potential. im new to this honda stuff and a lil ignorant i just need a push into the right direction on what can be the problem. thank you!

 

dont think a stock ecu will redline to 8200k lol. need to get it chipped
