civic ex d16 - how much horse power im looking at
Trending Topics
There are different heads and blocks that put down different amount of power so you saying d16 and d15 isnt enough info to figure out how much power it would put down.
Does it matter? You're still slow. 5 more horsepower won't matter. You won't know unless you want to spend he money to dyno it. End of story.
If you want numbers, your looking at maybe 115 at the wheels...A cold air will add maybe 4 whp, and a cat back doesn`t add maybe more than 2...but even that you won`t feel it. If you boosted it, than you would.. so all together maybe 120whp at the wheels. That`s the power of a stock D16Z6.correct me if i`m wrong..
Your best bet bro, is to find and build a D16 bottom end and boost it. You can`t have a 'fast' Civic if you wanna stay cheap...it`s just not gonna happen.
Well before my d16 motor blow up i lost alot of power bc of oik steal and oil compresstion hut this one i can tell alot of disffer untill the guy dident put right head gasket on he put rubber head gasket on it now he fixinging it now
i had always thought people put the 1.6 vtec heads on 1.5's to make more power than the stock 1.5, not put 1.5 bottom ends in 1.6 vtec cars, but i very well could be wrong, i had always assumed the bottom ends were similar except for the displacement
