****PROBLEM FIXED**** : It was a bad distributor. I replaced it, and it runs like a champ.

tuned on ectune

I was driving for about 10 or so miles this it started to get rough, the wideband read 10.0.

it drove for a bit longer trying to drive with it being that rich, then it finally died.

It will try to start, the rpms will go up, but then they will fall back down. It wont start up and idle.

It has done this before and I changed the cap and rotor and I thought it fixed it but i guess not. That was only about 4 days ago.

Could it be my distributor? I recently changed the ignition coil. brand new.

 

MAYBE THE INTAKE AIR CONTROL VALVE ON THE BACK OF MANIFOLD MAYBE IT BLOCKED JUST A TAUGHT MAN WORTH A TRY

Sounds like it could be a distributor. My buddies stock SI was doing almost the same thing. But AFR being at 10.0 is beyond rich.

 

Thanks for the info. Before I seen your post, I actually got my friends distributor, and it fixed my problem. My smile went ear to ear.
