I ordered this for my 1992 accord and it was the wrong set up. This came with a cap and coil that were for a car with an internal coil and mine has an external coil. My coil is mounted on the passengers side of the motor just behind the valve cover. Are all Accords in this tear range the same or are there variants?

Who makes a good high performance ignition that is a direct fit?

 

The 90-91 are internal while the 92-93 are external.

 

So they switched from internal to external, I thought it would have been the other way around. It does make sense since I've heard the internal tend to go out more often.

My question still remains as to where to get an HEI for my 1992?
