Speedometer issue
I have noticed that like after driving for about 1 hour or more the speedometer starts to fail up to stop working. I seems it is when th engine has been working for a while or when it is "hot". After the engine cools up it works normally. What can be happening? Speed sensor issue?
Example: normal driving to home (45 minutes) no issue. Driving home with traffic jam (1 hour or more) where the motor works more speedometer fails.

Could be the vss in the cluster losing connection after it gets hot. Main relays do this too they desolder themselves when hot and then regain connection after cooling. I'm not positive though just a thought.
'88-91 Hondas have a mechanical speedometer so guess again... The only thing that would be even remotely logical, would be your cable is gummed up/gear slipping inside transmission or something of that nature. You have a sender with a plastic gear that sits in the transmission, then a cable that is linked mechanically from the sender to the cluster, and then the cluster itself that's displays the readings... So unless the cluster is failing or one of the afore mentioned parts, there isn't much that could be going on...
