Default AEM CAI vs DC SPorts CAI

Does anyone have any experience with the DC Sports CAI?

I had the AEM on my GSRs back in the day and they were great but I see DC makes one now and it can be had for about $100 cheaper then the AEM.

Is there really that big of difference that the AEM is worth that $100 more?

With the AEM, part of what you're paying for is the CARB testing they needed to do to get it certified.

I can't answer if there are any power differences between them, but since a CAI is really only good for throttle response (any power gains you see on a dyno are within the range of testing variance), if you don't need the sticker buy the cheaper one (unless the filter sucks).

Luckily I have no state emissions or inspections where I live so I don't have to worry about CARB.

If pipe diameter is the same then there is no diff., except for the filter.

I do not know what DC Sports uses for a filter.

I have the AEM, but I have the K&N filter and it made a diff., [better] then the AEM filter, enough that I noticed right away.
