**Weird**
If anyone has any imput it will be much appreciated. Basically I have a one year old distibuter on my dc2 and basically when I start and drive it, it will cut off after about 5-10min of driving. its when the engine revs exceed 3000rpms the car just shuts off and will not start untill the engine has cooled off (30-45min) this continue's too happen with no check engine lights or cels. I just want to kno if this has happend to anyone else or if anyone could point me in a particular direction. The car is not in limp mode and really does not have any issue's only the distributor or maybe the ecu. I really am kinda lost with this issue. Thanks ahead of time.
Check the coil and ICU, both are susceptible to heat failure.
Just to eliminate them as a possibility, check the connections to the coil and ICU in the distributor, make sure they are tight.
Are you sure it is a no spark problem and not a no fuel problem, the PGM-FI Main Relay is also susceptible to heat failure... http://www.tegger.com/hondafaq/mainrelay.html 94

hmmm well it gets spark then it cuts out. Which makes me wonder because if it were a coil wouldnt it just not run period??? Like it runs sometimes then stops running once I hit 3000 rpms. Idk. I hear the fuel pump kicking on and I smell fuel but, I guess that dosent mean the pump is working properly. I will do some more checking. I am guessing its this cheap *** distributor. I havent even had it on the car for a year and its giving me issues. How would go about checking what you are telling me to check? The ICU and coil?
You can search here or Google testing coil and ICU, however if you are getting spark, [good strong spark] then the coil and ICM will not be the problem.
Could be one of the sensors in the distributor. 94
