1996 Accord EX H23 Automatic Transmission
I have an automatic transmission 1996 Accord EX.
My auto is finally starting to give out (torque converter finally burning out), and I was looking to get a new automatic transmission.
I know the H will drop right in manual to manual, but will the H23 automatic from a 1992 Prelude Si drop in?
Can anyone think of any complications?
Will I need only the transmission itself or will I I need wires TCU etc. Basically if I'm going to a junkyard to get the transmission, what parts should I be looking to pull from the prelude?
No, I won't be switching to a manual any time soon. There's nobody locally who's competent enough (trust me I've checked. Everyone keeps telling me it can't be done.) and I don't have the funds nor the sick time to drive down to Nevada until the summer.

Be very careful when remove either transmission as you can easily bend the transmission cooling tubes.
Also flush your AT cooler lines. Any contaminants that are inside those lines will recirculate in to the replacement transmission and possibly damage it.
