ek power window and door lock on my dx ek hatch
Im looking to convert my ek hatch door into power window and door lock...there a guy that selling both ek ex model power evething door that i might pick up...what would i all need from that car... he got 2 full door that everthing still intack...would that be all what ill need to convert on my car...
if he's selling the entire door(relay, motor inside, etc.) you need that with the floor harness as well as panels and switches. search the forums you'll find more detailed info on how to do this.
i looked in the FAQ cant fine it???but yea all the panels and switches still on both door...so that mean ill just the floor harness only then...right...
You will need:
Floor harness
Door harness for both doors
Power door lock controller (Blue box inside drivers door)
Lock switch
Window switches for both sides
Door panels for both sides.
Power door actuators (Door lock mechanism)
Power window relay
Power window regulator for both sides.
3x 20a fuses
If you want the rear window wiper to work you will also need:
To unpin a few wires form old harness and add them to new harness.
If you want the stock keyless entry you will also need:
Stock radio with keyless entry receiver
Remotes
And I'm not 100% sure but you might need the dash harness as well.
I think that is everything. I suggest when you pull his floor harness you try not to destroy the clips that hold it in place. You can also remove the zip tie clips off your old harness and reuse them on new harness if you break a few.
Here is a tutorial on how to do the whole job on your car
