To those of you who have a J's Racing Intake...
This should be a very easy install, but given what came in my package, I'm not entirely sure about all this. It seems that the rubber hose to connect the intake piping and the TB is not a 'normal' connector. One side is smaller in diameter than the other. I'm assuming that the smaller diameter side goes inside the intake piping. That way the larger diameter side would go over the TB and could be clamped down like any other intake.
My question is this: Does the intake just 'float' there with the rubber hose sitting inside the intake piping? I don't think the rubber hose get stretched over the piping, it's just too small for that. From the pictures on here, it is hard to tell what you guys did, or what the correct way is. Any help would be appreciated.

I just sent you an IM, but to answer your question here: The rubber connector goes over the intake arm and over the throttle body...
You need to flip the rubber copnnector over and put the bigger end over the intake and the other end over the the throttle body...

flux is right, you have to work the connector of the intake, it will take a little bit of stretching and pulling but it goes right on
Thanks Flux and CART fan.
One other question. The metal clamp goes over the TB? That leaves the intake only connected by the rubber connector... giving it a little flex. Yes?

There's no bracket. It doesn't need one once it is tightened onto the TB. Works great, I was just a bit confused with the rubber connector....
if it bangs around and scratches and falls apart are you going to let us know in the future or are you going to let that go unposted and only leave up the hype good news?
sure why not, dont expect that though, the car isnt even daily driven and if you look at the setup and cant really move around that much. i mean its in between the engine and the side of the car and the tower bar is on top of it. if you guys are so worried about it fab a brace or clamp yourself. it shouldnt be a big deal. how you car delaney, you figure out what you are going to do yet?

If there is no mounting bracket, it just sits on top of the a/c lines? I'd made a mounting bracket if I owned one. Over time, sitting on the a/c lines is going to wear a hole into the CF intake tube.
If it rubs and breaks, I'll post that too. Along with the hype.
You want bad news? I didn't get any instructions with mine. Not that I needed instructions (except for the rubber connector!!!), but the a/c lines needed to be moved for the intake to fit correctly and not hit a) the hood or b) the strut bar and it would have been nice to know that ahead of time.
