Default 10W-60 oil bad for B16A2?

Hello, I've just swapped my 1.3 55kw to 1.6 118kw B16A2 engine, into my EG. Before the swap, oil change was already made, so I didn't want to do it double, seemed unnecessary. I was told that there was 10w-60 racing oil in it(because, i took the swap from a car, made for track, but the internals and everything is stock). I use my car as a daily driver, but I visit VTEC once-twice a day and much more on the weekends. I rarely race too. Also, the fuel economy seems a little bad too, but I haven't measured exactly.
So my question is, if I should change to a different oil(10W-40 for example)? At the moment, there are a few unexpected expences, so I'm a little down on money, so I wouldn't rush the oilchange if possible, I'd like to know, what would happen if I drive with this oil much further. Also, maybe I should mark out, that I live in Europe, so it's -30 at winter and +30 at summer periods, IDK if that changes anything.

yes, that oil is bad for your motor, the only reason for useing it is for racing and high rpm use only ... and that is still questionable. You should use 10- 40 or 5- 30 for daily

Dagn, so I should change it ASAP or I can drive with it a little(lust a little) while more :S ?

Also, whats the difference between 10w-40 and 5w-30?(I think I have some 10w-40 left, but not sure).

And what process do I need to do, to change my oil, because I understand, changing from 10w-60 to 10w-40 isn't just letting out the old oil and putting in the new.

definitely drain the oil. your bearing clearances are not set up for such thick oil.

But after draining do I need to flush it with something or just put in new oil?

+If it's up to -35 in the winter and up to +35 in the summer, will 10w40 suit for me(The car is a daily driver, but i sometimes race too:D)?

E: I guess mixing 2different companies 10w-40 oil isn't good too? I Have 2.2liters of one companis oil and 2.5liters of other companies oli, If i use both of them, i don't have to buy more, what do you sugest, advise?

E2: I read, that mixing different brands isn't bad, if they have the same thickness or something(ie. 10w-40:D), So now I would have the oils for a oil change at home, so I wouldn't have to buy more(poor student as i am:D). I would like for someone to confirm this and tell me, if the 10w-40 is good for really cold winter use(max -35, but thats rare)? Or should I still buy 5w-30 or 5w-40?
If possible, I'd like it as good as possible(good for engine) and as cheap as possible(ie. I have some oils at home:D) as most people do, I just don't want to kill my engine, so I ask much smarter people first, you

DoubleUP! Please somebody help me, I would like to do this fast and quick:S:D 200+views and only 2 helpful posts:S

I wondered, I see, that the 10w60 is pretty bad, especially just before winter. But if I drain my oil out and put in 2.2qt of semi-synth 10w-40 and 2.2qt of different brands full-synth 10w-40, is it ok?
I mean, it shouldn't do anything wrong? Because i read, that you can mix different brands, and it's not bad and you can mix semi with full, and it's not bad, but you can't mix 10w40 with 10w30 and 10w40 with 5w40 etc. Correct me if I'm wrong please.

I know, that fully new 5w40 would be good for me, just before winter, but I'm low on cash at the moment and I need to drive my car:S So, maybe I could run this semi/full synth 10w-40 mix for a while(2k miles?) and then some day change my oil again?

How good is 10w40 synth mix with cold winter? I mean -30 cold starts etc?:p

Please answer me anybody:D

it will be fine. just get that thick oil out of your engine before its -30c outside.

if it were my engine i would run 5w40 or 5w30
