Default m&H 215/65/15 for 400 hp ??

so instead of this being a thread about me asking you guys your opinion im instead turning it into a learning experience thread. the last month or so ive noticed a trend on here i asked some questions and rather then an answer i get a "what everyone else runs" im no rookie to building cars ive done a few but for example i had a thread up about using an xs dual stage with s300 couldnt get an answer only to ditch it and run what everyone does well that doesnt work for me. so i figured it out on my own and should anyone ever ask the same question i would happily explain how i did it not very hard. so anyways now on to the my above tire question i purchased them anyways and am going to give them one hell of a shot. There mounted up an i just finished a lite test run on the street and i was extremely pleased with the results. and being that its a 215 i dont have much issue with turning in fact if i shorten one intercooler pipe it would turn lock to lock but for normal left and right turns no rubbing and it works quite well. now i am going to run it at irwindale to get the 1/8th dialed in a bit and good or bad ill post the results up one thing i can say is this might be a little to tall of a tire for an ls tranny but on my b16 i used to not even really have a 1st gear now it seems pretty nice so if anyone is interested stay tuned for some slips and maybe a video if i can get a camera.

AND THANKS VERY MUCH TO JOHN@M&H FOR HIS INPUT

Maybe there not a popular size for a reason you might as well jus jump straight to 235s... https://honda-tech.com/forums/drag-racing-36/best-drag-radial-tire-size-around-550-600whp-2768286/

for 400whp your going to want a 23" slick not a 22" IMO 24.5" is overkill on that power level. Unless its a drag radial then larger is required. BUT there is also the acception which is the cheaper drag radials slicks which is basicallya slick with a line down the middle in which case a larger diameter wouldnt be needed

you got one hell of price, maybe its your ride height like you said but they do look snug..i was personally gonna run them on a 14" wheel.

Oh yea thats just a test fit I'm gonna raise it up forsure and it's snug but doesn't seem to have a turning issue maybe just rub the intercooler pipe. But I'll move that so far I'm very impressed and for the price I couldnt go wrong

NICE! What is the overall height of the tire? That might be a bit too tall for an LS trans. I just got my gsr trans back but I had my friend Chris change the final out to an LS so I could get more gear on the top end. I have had a spare LS in my car for a few months and hate it!

215/65/15 is a 26" tire. its its a drag radial it will give good tracktion that large but with LS trans the gears will be oh so long lol.

If its a drag slick goodbye trans
