Default Tach inop after a lot of work

First time here and I'll admit I haven't done much searching yet. Getting late and wanted to through this out quick. I have a '91 Accord LX wagon with 310k miles and my tach has suddenly stopped working after I resealed basically everything I could reach without pulling the motor. That is I did my A/C system o-rings and pump, P/S pump and hoses, heater valve and hoses, timing belt, water pump, etc, cam rack o-rings, all new temp sensors and resealed my dist. I also replaced a couple bad bulbs on my meter cluster. I'm pretty sure I didn't miss anything but now my Tach all of a sudden stays at 0. Everything runs great and shifts fine. I had a surging in my idle when cold that I assumed was a bad temp sensor (did all new sensors too) and now that is gone. Where is the pick-up for the rpm, in the dist.? Can't remember if there's a pick-up on the crank somewhere.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, it's in the distributor. It's a blue wire for the 94-97 Accords. I don't remember if it's the same or not with the 90-93 Accords.

Thanks. I won't be able to dig into this until tomorrow. Would the lack of a signal affect performance also or is the rpm pick-up dedicated just to the tach.? I know I saw three pick ups in the dist.

The blue Tach wire is a dedicated signal that is sent from the ICM/ignitor inside the distributor directly to the gauge cluster. The other three pickups you see inside the distributor are the top dead center (TDC), crank position (CKP) and cylinder position (CYP) sensors. Those signals are used for fuel and ignition timing.

Finally had time to get my dist. off to see where I goofed up. Sure enough, I left one of the spade connectors to the white module off. It was the horizontal one closest to the coil. Kind of hard to see becaures of the coild wires. Thanks for helping narrow it to just the dist. though.
