Default Subz & Amps Made My Rear End Lower

Is that bad for the suspension? I Have tein so should I set it softer or firmer? I don't want to ruin my suspension.

u must have one hell of a system! depending on what u got, if u have 2 subs (15 pounds each), a box and amps it should weigh about 80 lbs-120lbs. I don't think that's enough to lower ur back end, especially since your suspension is not stock.

I'd get ur suspension looked at.

Not really.....it's normal for your suspension to sag a bit if you have a big system....think of what happens when you have a big friend sit in the back....

Your springs are what....150 or 200 lbs-in (I have no f'ing clue)? So you apply a 75 lb load to your rear springs (~38lbs each) it will sag between a 1/4 and 3/8". It's normal...it really depends on how much your system weighs and how much it is sagging.

if u have 2 subs (5 pounds each), a box and amps it should weigh about 80 lbs-120lbs.
what kind of subs are you buying (5lbs each)? Maybe some kenfords or legacy....pump that number up to 10-15 lbs...an IDMAX tips the scale at around 30, W7, closer to 45.

before when my car wasent lowered I had 2 Digital Design 9012s in the back weighed about 45lbs each plus the box which was 3 cubes to each chamber, so 6 cubes total....no room in trunk what so ever and it lowered it pretty good.

I got two 12inch JL subz (cs212) and two JL amps, and a custom box. i can barely lift up the box by myself. oh yeah plus i got custom amp racks. after i got my system installed, my rear end sagged a lil. I was just wondering if it would hurt my suspension. I don't know if I should set it to a softer or firmer setting. I don't want my struts blown. well thanks anywayz fellas.

as long as yourt struts arent bottoming out all the time dont worry about it, if they are set them firmer. it is normal for your box and amps to lower the back of your car some, especially with after market suspensions.

I have 6 tens and 2 amps in my trunk and the boxes for the subs weigh 120lbs and then the amps are probably another 15lbs so like having a person in the trunk my rear end sags but it levels out my car because I put a bigger engine in so now it's level haha worked out for me.

oneskunkcivic, i wouldnt scream out what you got too loud. Ilike your head unit but dayuum, who told you what to choose for your system? Those mtx subs are thw most inefficient design ive ever seen, fultron where? thers a lot better seperates out there for the money.

btw:your sub amp is a five channel.

josh
