Wiring for H22a EGR Questions? not running good
i got a 92 cb7 with a 98 h22a sir engine. im wiring up the EGR. I got a wiring schematic for a 93 prelude. is the wiring the same for the EGR for the 98 as it would for a 93? when i installed the engine i dont think i wired it up correctly.
since the shares the same wires as other sensors. its throwing it off with the wrong wiring.
at the moment the car is getting not so good gas mileage.
i got all most of the vaccumm inlets on the intake plugged.
i idle is set at 800 and when i start it up. the rpms go up and down and after a few mins the idle goes steady.
and sometimes when i drive the oil pressure light on the cluster blinks.and at stoplights or when i stop it sometimes shuts off.
really could use some advice thanks alot!!

i'm using a stock accord ecu right now. i cant find a god priced p13. all i've seen them go is almost $200
last night i rewired the EGR and rewired the map sensor and the car is still not running any different. if i give it some gas smoke comes out and it smells wayyy too rich. and of course im getting a cel 3 & 5 for the map sensor
any idea's what i should look at next?

yeahh i would think the p28 is def easier to get ahold of.
does it take alot to get it switched over to use on a h22?
well im not sure with the EGR. i know its not clogged. if i apply suction to the hose the engine stalls out and what i hear that means its working right?
maybe i should clean it. i know im having some retarded problems with the engine. gas mileage is bad. when i start the car i dont have any cel's it runs like crap then it clears up partially then the cel light pops up. i know its burning too rich but not to the point where my back bumper is totally coated in black crap.
but alot of the times when i slow down the engine back fires.
I did a ohm check on the EGR and The Map sensor and they check out good.
anything else that i should really look for?

I just used a p28 ecu sense they were more common to find. Obd1 ECUs can bypass the egr to from what I've heard but I'm not to sure how it effects the car, I'm trying That's out right now but I got some problems of my own. Another thing is the egress value you have good? Have you tried cleaning it up?
damn, I just had the harness that was used on my h23 vtec swap that was removed from a 92 accord.( In the process of hacking it up for a del sol h22 swap).
but in any case, I have a jdm p13.. or a p28, or p75, p06 both have been converted to vtec. pm me if your interested in any of these.. I can also burn a stock base map of an h22.

What grade gas do you run? Have to checked compression also. I've seen a couple people block off the egr valve.

Disconnect the EGR crap, get a P28 and tune it. At least get a H22 "chip" for the P28. I can do it, or you can google it or look on pgmfi.org. There are lots of guys like this that can set you up: http://www.phearable.net/ecutuning.html

Weld the EGR ports in your intake.
