Default 95 Civic transmission leaking pretty bad. Is driveway repair possible?

'95 Civic Coupe 5-speed manual with LOTS of mileage.

I've been noticing a fair bit of leakage from the transmission lately and I think it's coming from the shifter rod or extension rod (the rod going into the rubber boot at the rear of the tranny.

I imagine there's a seal in there. If this is where the leak is is that seal replaceable from beneath the car, assuming I can jack the car high enough?

Ya, just gotta drop the linkage, make sure the bellow is still there or it will always leak.

the seal for the shift rod is inserted from the outside, but im not sure if you could pry it out without taking out the shift rod which involves taking apart a large portion of the trans. for refferance, this is a great guide i used to help when i rebuild my trans.

the bellow does not seal the oil in, it is just to protect the rod from getting covered in crud, but the actual seal is recessed a bit into the housing.
