Icon2 Serpentine belt tensioner.

Does this component needs lubing or some thing? My 99 corolla VE seem to have the lube leaking out of the round rubber area on the top.
Look at this pic I borrowed from dshadle1. It's right at the tip of the red arrow.

That part is pretty expensive.
Thanks.

Well, this is not a Toyota forum; but, I'll answer the question. The serpentine belt tensioner does not required lubing. Generally, if it is leaking, you would just replace the tensioner. However, as long as the tensioner is still providing adequate tension on the belt (e.g., no belt noise, belt still relatively tight, etc.), you can go a long time (I mean years sometimes) with a little seepage from the tensioner on the Toyotas.

You stated the pic you show is not your car; normally, seepage from the tensioner looks like a little oil. The green fluid may be due to coolant inadvertently splashed around from something or the owner.

I am so sorry guys. I was looking at Corolland forums and accidently posted here. I have a 90 Accord as well. But thanks so much for the information. It's just a little seepage and no noise yet. I'll wait until is squeal like a pig. Sorry again.

It's not a big deal.

If there is squealing later on, I would try to replace it with a new belt first, as a new belt would be tighter than an old one. Some people get away without ever having to replace the tensioner. IRRC, it only takes a 19mm wrench or socket with breaker bar to remove the belt.

The belt has been replace with a Gatorback, this belt brand also reduce the squeal over OEM belts. This is from a certified tech on Toyotas. It was just time to replace that's all, no squeal before belt replacement. My wife put on at least 100 miles per day so I got to maintain it well. Every 3 oil changes for her is one for me. Synthetic at 6000 miles interval. Mostly she drives freeway miles. The car is a 3 speeds and it give almost 32 MPG. With poor handling and all. Not too bad.
