Default success! 22mm JDM integra anti-sway bar fitted to 83 Prelude!

ok, so after fitting a 18mm rear anti-sway bar (increased from 13mm) the rear end was wayyyy loose!

so the front bar had to go up (it was only 19mm)

ringing around - "sorry mate, nothing listed for a 83 Prelude!"

so i had a look as to why, well - the front bar is bolted INTO the lower control arm, making it hard to fit one bigger than stock...

so, as i had a front clip from a 91 JDM integra, i measured the bar and it was a perfect 22mm, it attaches with standard Honda post type links, the LCAs were an almost perfect match to the Prelude ones (except for the post hole) and since i was using the Integra cross-member anyways, it looked easy...

after a few more 'quick' measurements, the day long task of swaping the LCAs onto the Prelude began, the only issues were the shifter rod and the Prelude radius rod hole sizes (bend one & drill out the other)

the results are amazing!!!

a very flat neutral ride, with excellent turn-in response!

i am really looking forward to hitting the track with this new level of handling!!!

anyone who has a 83-87 Prelude and wants a stronger front anti-sway bar, it can be done (provided you have a DA6/8 integra front clip!)

t..
