I have a J's wing for my EF that is molded to the SiR spoiler. This was done a few years ago with Fiberglass resin and now they are starting hairline to crack (mainly through the paint) in a few small areas. What is the best way to seal these back up? They are too small to get a whole lot between, so is there a surface fix that I can do? I am re-spraying it this weekend and obviously don't want want to paint over cosmetic issues. Any ideas?
Cut out the affected area and fill with something appropriate for the base material (fiberglass or plastic or whatever...). A Dremel cut-off wheel works good for hairline cracks.
Post pics of the cracks depending on how bad you could just sand open the crack an fill with epoxy resin. If not then you would have to grind out the crack an fill back in with fiberglass. Post pics though i do fiberglass for a living only in industrial form lol but its the same concept.. Also im sure the sir spoilor is glass to yes?

I actually bought fiberglass/plastic resin yesterday. The wing is FRP, so this should do the job. I'll post some pics of my work over the weekend.
