Default 1/4 time

okie.. heres the deal.. im not asking u what do u think my car will run. im not stupid, i dont ask those kind of questions... im going to tell u my situation, and then u project an outcome. and we will find out who knows there stuff. hahaha

okie.. 99 civic ex with a short ram, no muffler, short shifter, stock tires, eibach sportlines and
stage 3weight reduction: (56k on the ticker)
no back seats
no pass. seat
no door panels
no radio, or 4 speakers
pass and rear seatbelts removed.
door panels and all rear panels removed.
metal 3pc brace behind back seats removed
tar under carpet all scraped out from trunk to under front feet
all heat sheilds off
pass headlight removed w/ no air filter
all consoles removed.
glove box removed. i think thats all i took out at the time.
in ENNIS tx summer 2001 ran a 16.1 @85 mph.

today's current mods on same car with same weight reduction.
2000 h22a4 (25k on motor)
jdm p13
gutted cat
2 1/2 " piping
no muff.
no power steering
no a/c
same short ram intake
integra skunkworks coilovers

now thats what i have today. and i currently have not had a chance to make it to a track, much less ENNIS... so i am asking u (HONDA SPECIALISTS) to predict an outcome for me for when i do make it to the track.

all opinions welcome. thanks

for every hundred pounds u take out of ur car u will gain 1 tenth of a second as far as the muffler u might want to put that back on u will lose power with out and I gained 2 tenths with a test pipe aka gutted cat so i predict about a 3 or 4 tenths of a second faster. My car is completly gutted like ur and as 215 hp at the crank and i ran a 14.594 at 95 mph good luck at the track

That is only true if the weight loss doesn't start causing traction issues.I know when I strip my car it won't hook up at all.

how could removing the muffler lose power, while gutting the cat gain power?

explain this to me.

100 lbs = 1 tenth works on 3500 lb cars.
for us lightweights.....
60 lbs = 1 tenth

Passenger seat is worth .06 seconds on a properly driven/shoed car.

Yeah agree with Mista Bone (again) about 50-60lb to the tenth. Ten pounds = 0.1 mph also
