I caculated ~8hp increase if the c/r was raised to 11.5:1...not too shabby.

My questions...

Is it safe to use a headgasket to raise the c/r? I know a few F/I guys use it to lower c/r.

is 11.5:1 safe on pump gas? like 93 octane?

I know a few people say 12.5:1 is safe....but I know that's total crap....no way that's safe on 93 octane!

But how about 11.5:1? I'm not going to waste money on octane boosters...so if 93 and 11.5:1 don't mix...I'll just forget about it.

Does anybody have any experience with it? Does it seal properly? Any issues at all with it?

eh...disregard....i just read that it only raises it .4 of a point....that's crap. For some reason I thought it put it up to 11.5:1

nah, you gotta get the pistons too. gasket alone isn't worth it.
