repairing vs. replacing?
So I'm in the process of getting my hatch fixed up and want to paint before I go any farther. Reason being I don't trust anyone and who's to say the body shop wont steal parts?
Anyway I'm replacing both fenders, front/rear bumper, hood, and driver door so that takes care of almost all the damage. Bodyshop is going to fix 2 little dings in passenger door and rear quarter wheel well, plus a small ding in the A pillar by the mirror. They quoted me $1350 to do a full repaint/color change or $1050 if I want to keep it the same color. So does that seem like a decent price? This is a small bodyshop so couldn't find any reviews on yelp.

Seems like a good price, the best thing you can do is ask for references. Call people who have had their car painted there and ask how their experience was and how the paint looks and has held up.
Yeah I'll have to ask what quality paint they will use, or maybe just buy the paint myself and get a cheaper deal.
There is one other shop I want to check that has some good reviews on yelp but its indonesian owned. Having a quite a few family member who are indonesian most are lazy and cut corners, so somewhat iffy about taking my car there. I could probably get my grandpa to come along since he speaks the language still, and get some sort of hookup, but this place seems to have plenty of current reviews all of which are 5 star so could be legit.

don't rely too much on online reviews cause a lot of them are probably from people who arent car people.. so they may not have the same eye for detail in body/paint work
