If your car CAME with SRS (airbags) isn't it illegal to get an aftermaket steering wheel that doesn't have srs? A lotta people said it's illegal and i personally remember it being illegal too. But some people are telling me that it IS legal. Can someone clearify this for me.

 

Q?: Why would you want to take out your airbags for?


1. I really hate my face and want t show the world how i feel.

2. I watched Silence of the Lambs and decded to try on my new holloween outfit.

3. I really like hamburgers.

 

then again, those of us with non-SRS-equipped cars, like DA owners, can toss in a nice small momo funwheel.

 

i didn't really wanna change it out, i was thinking it was a waste of money getting one. jus wanted to know if it was legal or not so the next time some1 tells me it is i can phuckin call them a stupid-*** ****, haha also wanted to know cuz i was kindda interested in the passenger airbag try thingy, i have no passengers so no worries but if it's no legal then screw it, gonna waste my money on real parts

 

i just saw red dragon. that makes me want to do the same thing with a sawed of 12 gauge hahaha. who cares abou the srs. just don't crash and where your seatbelts.

 

i wouldnt... safety issues mainly. why do u need a new steering wheel? doesnt do shiet for you if you cant drive with a normal one. its all looks in that case.

 

I heard from somebody that you can only swap out the srs wheel for a non-srs wheel if its an older model cars like 1994. Supposibly years after that have been regulated by a law that if the car came with srs it must retain that option
