i am getting a 97 ek hatch shell with the d16y8 pulled out of it. my friend has a 99 or 2000 civic si cant remember which one but it came stock with a b16 in it and he totaled it. i was gonna buy it and use the motor in the ek. So i have a full civic si donor car to take everything off of to put into the ek. can i do it with just the parts on the civic or do i need to buy swap mounts or anything like that? need to no quick so please let me no. i dont have a whole lot of money and would really like to try and make it work with just the available parts

 

you're definitely going to want to buy new mounts. hasport mounts are the way to go.

 

You can re-use the stock mounts, or the mounts which came in the SI. They are the same and will fit as long as you use the rear T-bracket off the B16, and the driver side mount is a 2 post mount (which it should be)

 

if i can use the mounts that are on the civic si thats what im gonna do, im trying to spend the least amount of money i can cuz im at a rough time right now
