Ap2 transmission leak.. Help please.
Just picked up a 05 s2k and did a rear diff and tranny fluid change the problem is now the trannys leaking between the engine where they meet.
My question is if I overfilled the tranny would it have a place to run out, Ive been checking the tranny fluid every couple of days and the level is within range.
My other thought is that the tranny input shaft seal could be the problem, finally does that seal need to be pressed in from the inside of the tranny or from the outside? Thanks for the input guys..

r u sure its gear oil thats leaking it could be coming from the motor. and the seal would be pressed in from the outside either its the trans thats leaking or motor. should be an easy fix but sux u gotta pull the trans off to find out. if u did over fill it it would not leak out of a seal.
there's a small valve thing inside the casing that releases pressure/overfill into the bottom of the casing, it comes out where that little slit is on the very bottom.. i've overfilled and made a good mess myself..
best thing is clean the undercarriage the best you can, let it idle, and keep checking..

any luck op?
anther thing, just to be on the safe side is send an oil sample to silverstone labs(??), they test oil.. a lot of good info, blown gasket, metal, metal from crank, piston or valve/valve seats, failing oil pump, etc
