hf to si...
What are you trying to do? Swap a Si motor into a HF chassis?
If so, the wiring is pretty much exactly the same - just use your old HF harness.
I think some of the harness plugs have slightly different pin locations (between HF & Si). So basically if you use the Si harness, it's prolly not gonna plug into the rest of the HF harness that's in the car....
At least, that's just what I've heard. I've never done any work on HF cars, I only know my '90 Si!
Good Luck

Mr todd is right to my knowledge. both engines use mpfi, unless u r talking about 1st gen then the hf's r carbed and are totally diff harnesses than the si. diff config of wires like todd said.
so an with an 88-91 hf, an si engine would drop right in, no wiring changes?
theres a local hf in really good condition...if i got the si engine tranny (better ratios?) and ecu, it would drop right in no prob...correct me if i'm wrong

There is a sensor on the bottom right of the Si intake manifold the my HF harness has no plug for and the old HF manifold did not have this sonsor... Could there be differences in years??
i got some info from a friendly guy from the hybrid site....
he said that if you plug and play...it will work but will throw codes...
he told me there is six wires at the ecu that hf has that si doesnt need
these are the wires that should be eliminated
A6 - EGR seloniod control
B2 - shift indicator
B7 - clutch switch
B9 - reverse sensor
B11 - heater sensor
C8 - EGR signal
if im wrong please correct me

I don't have any pics to send you .If I remember you should have one or two vac lines. They were the ones that went to the egr which was on the intake.

what about knucles, arent they different?
Once again, I don't have experience to back this up. But I'm pretty sure about this.
I need to know if you sure about that??
I am Finaly going to get rid of my HF tranny and will be using an Si tranny and axles so I would like to get a "for sure" answer on that... And if so will the ones off of a 91 civic DX work?? Along with the front breaks.. (I think they are bigger than the HF)

The si tranny should work no problem in a hf chassis even with the old hubs. The trannys are all the same except for some gear ratios. But swap to Si's anyhow. they're bigger to start with an have more aftermarket parts avaible and you wouldn't even have to worry about whether it would work or not.
