The EG sedan is lighter than the coupe, hatch being the lightest. So if people are into performance, why not get a sedan?

 

its not a topic of performance

some people like have a sporty 2dr over a 4dr, some like having a car to fit 5 people

its also style wise, people don't like the front bumper and rear taillights on 4drs

 

Plus the stupmy little trunk on a 4dr just doesn't look right.

I rock a 4 door, and a couple friends do/did. They can look nice and they're kind of less conspicuous since they don't look as sporty.

4 doors are more practical. Even just hauling stuff around. Parts are cheaper since people don't want 4 doors...

 

Its all preference I hardly see clean 4 doors around here they get neglected.

I rock a sedan because i like the way they look more than a coupe and i just have a soft spot for them.

Can someone tell me how the sedan is lighter than the coupe please, because I must be blind or something. (Based on the same model.. dx,lx, ex, AT/MT etc...) With a weight reduction on both cars the sedan will have the extra 2 door weight btw.. IMO ej all the way!!

but not sure why people rock coupes over sedan probably the more sportier look bbut i rock a sedan because i honestly think they have there own style. all u need is a nice offset wheel to set the foe doe's off.
they are very roomy and i persolly used ti like coupes more untill i owned a 4door

 

Coupes and hatches are regarded as more sporty as mentioned.

Many 92-00 Civic sedans came with tan interior which many people dislike.
I think that is a big reason.

Personally I like 4 door Civics, but it took years for them to grow on me.

 

Since the '92 EX Coupe didn't even exist in the US, I wouldn't trust this info completely.

umm the ex sedan weighs more than the ex coupe.. so i dunno where you get that the sedan is lighter... you cant compare a dx sedan to a ex coupe and say it lighter thats 2 different models with different options

Personally I just find the sedans ugly. There are very few 4 door cars I like.

 

That info is bogus as well. Again....there was no coupe in 92. And NONE of these lists take into account ABS models. You know an ABS car of those years is going to weigh more than the non-ABS cars. Have you seen the size of the ABS units on that generation?

ok so when you fly by a coupe thats stock that's not too impressive.. A stock civic coupe ex vs a sedan gsr obviously i hope you would fly by them. I think with a coupe vs sedan same swap the coupe would pull. then that's going too far because then diff drivers etc.. But my point is, the SEDAN is NOT lighter than a coupe when they are the same model! So get the facts straight.
