Maken ur own race gas ?
I gota 05 crf450r. And i dont need anymore power to that bike. but i want to mix up some gas that will help my motor last longer and run smoother. But i wont wana bog it down with to much oil in the gas. So whats a good mixture to keep the motor healthy
I'd just break out the owner's manual and see what it says to run if the engine is stock. Any octane above what the manual says to run is wasting money if the engine is still completely stock.
Race gas has oil in it, Not as much as 2stroke gas but they still put oil in there for the piston rings and to keep the carb runing smoothly. Iv raced with Sunoco and normal gas with lucas octane booster and they both gave me realy smooth power. Or maybe with the sunoco it was the lead that did it, idk but thats what im tryn to look up

try lucas, they sell a high temp 2 stroke synthetic and semi synthetic oil that you mix in your gas. The high temp will keep it from burning off so fast so you wont be pouring out blue smoke. i know its a four stroke i have a crf 450 also and it works awesome for me use it in my rm250 too but check it out
Do you two also pour the NOS energy drink into your gas tank for more power?

for the 450 i put like like 70 or 80 parts fuel to 1 part oil so like one or two little squirts a tank will be plenty...if you have a measuring cup itll be a half a cup cause the tank is like 2 gallons
look about 3/4 of the way down the page where it says- Rocket Fuel

When Honda was spending 500 millions dollars a year on their V6 Formula 1 Turbo motors they ran a mixture containing
84% Toluene (114 Octane). It has excellent anti-detonation properties and increases your octane rating.
Xylene has a higher flashpoint (less volatile) and has and octane rating of 117.
[( _ Quarts Gas x 92) + ( _ Quarts Toluene x 114)] / ( _ Quarts Gasoline + _ Quarts Toluene) = octane rating

Seeing how gasoline is derived from the distillation of crude oil, it would be safe to assume that all gas has oil in it, no?
I've heard of people adding small amounts of Toluene (paint thinner) to their gas to boost octane in a ghetto redneck way.
Google search on the subject brings you to a bunch of hotrod sites / articles that can tell you more.

yeah thats what i was looking into, But iwas looking for a mixture to help keep my motor running smooth because my bikes got plenty of power, its like f@ck fast lol
