canby, oregon.... needing some help!!
So I took apart a transmission for a D series. Inspected, reassembled everything with no problems. Now I can't get the case back together
I have tried for a long *** time and have failed. I can open the ring but the case will not go together. I think the ring is still blocking thebearing from passing by allowing everything to seat together properly. Do I need special pliers for this ring? Any susuggestions? I have also built many engines that I race with just no transmissions. $40 and some beer for anyone who lives close to come show me the secret.

Think I did this right. This ring in the pic is being a pain. I can't get it past the top of the bearing. When I spread it and push the case down, the ring binds on the bearing
CCome on people. Am I the only one with this problem ever, in the history of Honda transmissions? 105 views and 1 reply for a pic huh.......

likely something else is wrong and not allowing the case to drop down, quick guess would be 5th gear hub assembly on the main shaft.
'm not on here very day, but I do need pics to see what is up.
Yes, I love tranny ****

I will take a look today after work. What does everyone use to separate this ring? I am using snap ring pliers.
