Wrapping exhaust manifold cover and cat cover?
Have: Stock D16Y7 engine, small nick on front catalytic converter cover, doesn't fit as well into the back cover as well as the exhaust manifold cover.
I've had a problem with two A/C condenser fan blades melting in the past 3 months, and suspect that it's the heat escaping from poorly fitting exhaust manifold/cat covers. Short of ordering replacement covers and bolting them on, what can I do to eliminate heat problem?
Can I wrap the whole assembly? If so, what material should I use? doesn't have to be pretty, looking for functionality. These A/C fans are expensive to replace.

There are turbo/exhaust wraps out there that would work. You can find them on Summit, Nopi, and other distributors websites. But if the problem is that the covers aren't fitting, and therefore not covering where they're supposed to, I don't know that wrapping them would make any difference.
The more I think about it, the more I think that I answered my own question. Guess a new set of covers is the logical step. Thanks!
