New 98' Prelude SH Owner (Pics) Need Help
holy **** that thing is sooo ****ing clean. I would do all the fluids, wires and plugs you prolly do not need to do but never hurts, suspension short shifter and intake are a good idea. Depending on your future plans I would hold off on the skunk 2 manifold. I would not touch the valve cover, that ***** clean. You might want to think about changing the timing belt, and swapping in manual belt tensioner.
What are your plans for the car, how are you going to use it?
How much did you pay for that?

Other then changing the fluids, timing belt, balance belt alt/AC/PS belts and new tires (because of their age) I would leave it as it is.
Wow. I am jealous. My SH was pretty clean and well kept when I first got it, but this is ridiculous. It's immaculate. You got very lucky.
And as for the mods, I agree to them all except instead of Tein coilovers I'd rather get the Koni/Ground Control set, but that's my personal preference.
Also I've heard that the Skunk2 manifold is basically a waste of money. I've heard very good things from the Euro R manifold though, I think it needs minor modification to fit.
Take good care of it bro. You never come across a Prelude in that condition now

thanks for all the amazing comments.
for the record I paid $12.6k for it!!!
My plans are just to enjoy the car, and only drive it on special occasions. Possibly once every Saturday.
After reading some feedback & talking to my friend, I'm not going to mod this car, it's way 2 clean stock. The only mod I'm adding is: Tein Flex Damper Coilovers.
As far as replacing stock parts goes heres what I'm looking @:
(Please tell me if I'm missing anything @ all)
timing belt replaced & timed
spark plug wires & spark plugs replaced
cap & rotor replaced
transmission oil replaced
engine oil replaced
bleed the clutch & replace fluid
Tires (I don't want 2 waste money, I need to check the dates first)

It's an SH - be cautious as to what suspension parts you buy because the coil overs are different between a Base and an SH.
Exedy makes our stock clutches - so a stage 1 Exedy is not much of an improvement.
Stock spark plug wires and spark plugs are pretty much just as good as any aftermarket ones you'll find.
Don't forget to check the power steering belt and alternator belt.
Good call on keeping it stock and clean - There is a 3rd gen in my area that looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor and i drool over it at every show i see it at....daily driven too!
This reminds me of the silver Prelude that was for sale for over 20k a year ago from a dealership - had under 600 miles on it if i'm not mistaken. You got one hell of a deal man, you're now the envy of majority of the Prelude community lol.

i wouldnt drive it...i cant believe my eyes really i almost want to ask for more photos with a date and time stamp lol. so jelious right now. saving these photos when i get home though haha. leave it as stock as possible man honda did a really good job on the vehical as is theres not to much room for improvement and people will drool over a stock sh this clean all day. baby the hell out of it man you got a gem. i was stoked when i found mine with only 107k on the odo. whats the backround on this car man? this really makes me wanna rebuild every part lol.
Congrats on possibly the getting the lowest mileage Prelude remaining. I remember some Honda dealer had one similar that was a training vehicle for Honda technicians. But The dealer was asking for much more like close to sticker price.
wow, didn't expect all this positive feedback.. thanks!
I still didn't get the car yet, the check takes 7-10 days to clear, this Monday looks like the day I will met her (my baby)..
I'll post up some amazing pictures after coil-overs are installed.
Here's a list I got for the dealership to check / do: (keep the suggestions coming)
Replace Timing belt, & time it
Replace Spark Plugs & spark plug wires
Replace Cap & Rotor
Replace Engine & Transmission oil
Replace Active Torque Transfer System fluid
Replace Power Steering Belt & fluid
Replace Coolant fluid
Replace Alternator Belt
Replace battery (Only if needed)
Bleed Clutch/brake, & replace fluid
Mods:
Tein Damper Type Flex Coil-Overs (PURCHASED)
5 Tires BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW 2 205/40/16 (PURCHASED)

12.6k?....I sort of hate you right now
Well, since you didn't specify a budget I'd do;
AEMv2, smsp header, mugen catback, volk te-37s, lightweight flywheel, short shift, mugen suspension, crower cams and valvetrain, fuel and ignition system = win?

He's keeping it stock besides suspension. The car is too perfect to ruin with heavy modification

OP: did you specify that your suspension is for an SH? don't want to see you getting screwed trying to install the wrong set and be unable to return them :/
