94 coupe with d16y7 swap - low idle problem

Default 94 coupe with d16y7 swap - low idle problem

hey guys my friend has a 94 coupe we put a d16y7 in it its running obd1 it doesnt have the y7 IM now the problem is it idles at 2k for a couple second then want to die unless giving it gas what could it be? it also leaks coolant im thinkin maybe head gasket? and today while running it smelled like gas and help would be appreciated guys

Check all of your fuel fittings and stop all of your leaks and I'm sure it will fix the problem. ANy cel's?

if no cel check your PVC valve and try to clean the iacv out by spraying cleaner through the side hole in the throttle body. if nothing helps clean the junk out of the idle air adjustment screw with a flat head screw driver and turn the screw out this will raise your idle.

i think it does have a cel im going to check it later could the IM gaket cause the idle and leak problem?
