My ZX6R build
Well, I have decided to build another Kawasaki again. The last Kawi I built was a LOT older (1977 KZ750 LTD Twin).
The new ride is a 2000 ZX6R.
I paid $500 for the bike because it would come out of gear when in 3rd.
So far the parts purchased for the bike are as follows:
-Double bubble windscreen
-Dual HID kit
-Front and rear sprockets
-New o-ring chain
-Shift forks
-New clutch
-Spark Plugs
-Air filter
-Oil filter
-Undertail enclosure
-Gold anodized shorty roll-click levers
-Gold anodized windscreen bolts
-Gold anodized keyless gas cap
-Gold anodized fork adjuster
-Woodcraft rearsets
-Woodcraft clipons
-Tank pad
-Passenger foot pegs
-Track stands
-Swing arm spools
-Grips
-Integrated flushmount signals
-Shock links
-Carburetor rebuild kits
The bike was lowered with some home made links and it has a Muzzy's full race 4-2-1 stainless exhaust with an aluminum can. I plan on modding the can a bit to my liking.
I also purchased all paint necessary to completely repaint the the plastics and frame. That includes the soda blaster and support items.

I forgot to get a good before pic, but here it is while I was first pressure washing it. I had the bike for about an hour and a half at the point of this picture.

Here are some pictures of the teardown. I had to rebuild the carbs before I tore it down to make sure it ran correctly. Some spiders made the bowls home and I had to do some refreshing before she would run.

Down to the frame!

A majority of the parts, nuts and bolts.

A sneak peek at what is to come!

I just finished painting the frame and components. I am going to start final assembly this weekend. Then all I have left is finishing the plastics, the tank and the wheels.
