Hi guys, im in need of some guidance. I have a friend that has a Civic Si(ep3), I think its 01. He has a problem with his gears. Its hard to change gears. Normally my experience with that has been the clutch pump and the slave. Just to make sure i checked on line and there were alot of diff possibilities. I told him to try the car again but pump the clutch multiple times between the shifting to see it it would make it better shifting and to see if it was the pump. It actually worked so i told hime he should change the clutch pump and the slave and that should fix the problem. Just wanted to know what you guys think and to see if im right. Its happened to me before in my civic and after changing both, everything was perfect.

Anyways, when was the last time if ever he just changed his fluids? They are fluids and they do go bad.

 

yeah the master cylinder? im not sure about the fluid change, if he has not changed it. i guesss we should do that first. thanks

 

it happens to me while im driving in the streets my tranny suddenly feels it doesnt want to go into any gears and i took it to the shop and it appears my clutch plate is busted and the springs popped out but my clutch is fine and thick
