Default 195/65r15 winter tires!?

I am looking to buy a used set of winter tires for my integra. I have koni g/c suspension so i will be raising it up for winter. My question is, has anyone run a 195/65r15 tire on an integra? I am certain i can raise the car enough to gain fender clearance but i am not sure about uca clearance and fender clearance while turning and hitting a bump. I searched with dismal results, everyone just says get 195/55r15 or 205/50r15. Will 195/65r15 work? Thanks.

You never mentioned what year/model Integra you have (which is by far the most important piece of information to know when offering tire size suggestions). Assuming its a '98 GS-R, the stock tire size is 195/55/15 (as suggested). 195/65/15's are more than 6.5% too large for the car. Ideally, you want to get a tire that matches the car or is within a 3% of the original equipment's overall diameter. To figure out what tires fit that range, as well as what wheel widths they are designed for, you can use a simple Tire Size Calculator.

Here's one I use regularly: http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp

It is a 98. I do realize that it has a larger sidewall than what is suggested. I am not really concerned with what is suggested and whats not, I am just wondering if anyone has used this size and how it worked out.

Its not what "is suggested", its what "is safe and properly sized for". If you start going beyond the realm of safety, your car becomes unsafe to drive on.

ok.....turbos, roll cages, custom tucked brake lines, air bag deletes, stretched tires, etc im sure are not safe or suggested either. Since when did i ask about safety? I simply want to know if they will rub badly or if i can have enough clearance by raising up my suspension. If you can't answer any of those questions please post somewhere else.

Why do you want to run bigger tires? For traction? Clearance? I'm confused as to your motives.

So you aren't actually buying a spare set, you already HAVE a spare set? Why don't you put them on and see how they perform? I will likely be running larger tires during the winter with my stock suspension because I have them and because winters here are so bad that the only problems one will have with driveability is the inability to drive.

This forum deals with safe tire setups. If you cannot handle that, then maybe you should save your "witty retorts" for someone who actually cares for your childish attitude.

To be honest, I don't think they will rub if you have it at stock height. At most, you'll maybe see minor rubbing at full lock (up front) due to the rotation of the knuckle.

You may graze the inner liners if the car bottoms out, even in a strait line....
