Well i think low 14's is good, all my buddies with camaros and stuff run like high 13's to low 14's so i don't see why those wouldn't be good times for a close to stock type R, around here thats a great time for an import, also maybe you don't like it but i think its fun
, if your not gonna answer my question seriously, don't answer at all. Thx scott i already did that, and thx JDMITR, i love drag racing so it will be fun for me

Don't strip your interior. It gives people excuses to rat on your times. Run it with full interior and spare tire. Try running it completely stock for a few passes so you can get a baseline of your stock ITR.
Expect to get low 15's. I don't know your elevation but if you are high (2000+ ft above sea level), low 15 translates to high 14's.
haven't drag raced in the ITR for 2.5 months and the only reason I went the last time was because there was money to be won.
Bracket racing
driving skills ownz you.

I agree with this statement. You're talking about fun factor, right....you're not gonna have a good time

Take out your spare and your power steering belt.
And go on a low tank of gas too.
High 14's is completely possible. Good luck.
If your tires are shot already, drop your psi to 15. Launch at 4500, You'll hit 13's, Me and mike both hit low 12's and 1 high 11 running 8 psi(damn they looked almost flat but a nice 1.8 60'

4500? won't that bog like crazy on 15 psi???I bogs for me right now like that and im at 22 psi... Also i know im capable of 14's for sure i run with many many 14 sec cars even low 14 cars...anyways i am a good driver and im not scared to push it so i think my times should be ok, i have timing advanced, no spare im gonna take ps belt out and i made a custom cold air setup intake.
15 psi? really? i didn't know you could go that low

It is going to be hard to get an answer that you are looking for here because a lot of, or should i say most itr owners are not into drag racing. There are a few but not many, i personally enjoy drag racing but i also realize that my itr was not made to be a hero at the drag strip but made to shine on a road coarse straight from the factory. Either way you can still have fun at the drag strip just don't expect to run any times that would be considered impressive by the import crowd or domestic crowd, you can definatly run respectable times for you car though. Most of my friends are into drag racing and drive a wide variety of cars, once in a while i will take my car to the drag strip and even though the times that i run are nothing special i allways have a good time and yes i do get some respect from a lot of people, young and old, fast and slow. When i say respect i mean they know what the car was really made for and when they see the times that i run they allways say that is very respectable for the car itself and for the modifications that are done to the car and the modifications that are not done to the car, if that makes any sense. Basically i am not useing NOS, and when i beat several older or newer mustangs, or turbochareged cars they are shocked to see that my car is all motor and has just bolt ons. The people that seem to be interested the most are the older crowd who used to have high powered muscle cars in the 60's and 70's that were running 14 second 1/4 mile times as well. They seem to be amazed (even though it is not that quick) that a little 1.8 liter 4 banger just ran a 14.158 at 98mph at over 4,000 feet above sea level when several new mustang gt's with bolt on's (some of which belong to my close friends) are running any where from 14.3 to 15.1. With that said go and have fun, too each his own, at least you are going to a drag strip and not doing it on the street.
Maybe you can try these things out, seems to work for me. Set timing to 18 degrees, remove PS belt, remove exhaust (muffler and b pipe only, great for top end) run with as lilltle extra weight as possible in the car (extra weight can be one of the worst enimies to a car that is all ready underpowered) a quick tune up can't hurt (change oil, check plugs maybe change them, check all other fluids. If you have a CAI it doesn't hurt to remove your front right side corner lense for more air. As for your tires try 25psi and go down in two psi increments from there. Practice your launch and try to get good 60 foot times. I usually cut 2 flats or 2 ones, just try to keep them in the low 2's. Have fun.

you're gonna' have to play w/ it..... If it's your first time to the track, leave everything alone...... Leave the ps belt on, run the tires down to 15-20psi, and play with your launch..... By the time it hooks up, you should already be in VTEC. I found that on stock tires launching @ around 6000-6500 should do the trick, and you should get 2.1-2.2 60' times.... If you hit those 60's, you should have a good day
have fun

I use to ride it out from 5.5k,then when it would hook up it would be in Vtec not bog like when people just drop the clutch and have to get the rpms up again. Also launch on the third amber if you wanna have good reaction times.
