Ok I have a B16b in my ej6. I am currently running a p28 ecu with s300. The software when I downloaded it did not come with a basemap for a CTR so i am running it on a 2001 stock ITR base tune that came with the Smanager when I downloaded it. The car runs well, pulls alright, and really hasn't had any problems for the past week and a half since Ive had it running. I am just a little nervous that one of these days its just going to blow up on me hahaha So I am just wondering if it is SAFE to run my B16B on an ITR basemap until I go get it tuned in like 2 weeks???
Should be fine for around town -- closed loop will take care of you and you won't blow anything up running around rich for a little while. But I wouldn't romp on it until you have a tune.
If you have a wideband gauge, just watch that. And if you don't, get one. An s300 without a wideband gauge is like a horse without a carriage.
